Msg Us Army (Ret) Robert Griffith

MSG US ARMY (ret) Robert Griffith passed away Monday, January 23, 2011 at the Veterans Administration Center in Dublin, Ga. He was born on March 2, 1937 to the late Casper and Elizabeth Griffith in St. Thomas Virgin Island. After graduating from high school he attended Penn State University. He served his country by enlisting in the US Air Force in 1952 and the US Army in 1965 and retiring as MSG in 1986. He received the purple heart medal and many others. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Mrs. Delores Griffith of Newport News, Va. Three daughters Maraia Sanchez and Robin Elizabeth Griffith both of Glennville, Ga. Lisa Griffith of Newport News,Va. A number of grandchildren and a special friend Marlene Gordon of Glennville, Ga. Two sisters: Libby Griffith of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Alberta Griffith of Newport News, Va. Funeral services is will be held 11:00am, Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the chapel of King and Son's Funeral Home with burial in the Georgia Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Ga. King and Son's Funeral Home of Glennville, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
