Narcelles "Bo Bo" Porter

August 24, 1956 — December 14, 2020

Narcelles Porter (BoBo) was born in Evans County to the late Lymon Decker "Bee" and Ruth (Futch) Porter. Narcelles attended school in Tattnall County. He furthered his education at Savannah Vocational College as a "Cement Finisher" and began his entrepreneurial endeavors servicing several counties in Georgia. At an early age, he became a member of St. James AME Church of Glennville, Georgia. He served faithfully in many capacities: choir member, President of the Usher Board, Pro-Tem of the Trustee Board for several years where he worked diligently performing his duties; Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday School Department and an active member of Sons of Allen of which he was the local President. He sang with the group on all levels. He was also the Savannah South District Sons of Allen Coordinator and enjoyed his work immensely. He was a fashion model and escort for the local District Women Missionary Society. He had a passion for family and his community. His works, laughter, kindness and love for people will be missed and not forgotten. Death is a journey that we all must take and each must go alone.
