Narcelles Porter (BoBo) was born in Evans County to the late Lymon Decker "Bee" and Ruth (Futch) Porter. Narcelles attended school in Tattnall County. He furthered his education at Savannah Vocational College as a "Cement Finisher" and began his entrepreneurial endeavors servicing several counties in Georgia.
At an early age, he became a member of St. James AME Church of Glennville, Georgia. He served faithfully in many capacities: choir member, President of the Usher Board, Pro-Tem of the Trustee Board for several years where he worked diligently performing his duties; Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday School Department and an active member of Sons of Allen of which he was the local President. He sang with the group on all levels. He was also the Savannah South District Sons of Allen Coordinator and enjoyed his work immensely. He was a fashion model and escort for the local District Women Missionary Society. He had a passion for family and his community. His works, laughter, kindness and love for people will be missed and not forgotten.
Death is a journey that we all must take and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home. Narcelles Porter transitioned from this life on December 14, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.
He was proceeded in death by his brothers Edward Porter, and Johnny Porter and three sisters Versaline Williams, Joyce P. Watts, Dorothy Porter and son, Jamal L. Richardson.
Narcelles leaves to celebrate this life's journey and rejoice in this homegoing six daughters, Terri Washington of Hinesville, GA, Selena Porter, Monica Porter and Anitra Porter of Atlanta, GA, Whaketa (Jody) Riley of Phenix City, AL, Laneisa (Peachie) Porter of Richmond Hill, GA; one son, Isaiah N. (Natalie) Porter Sr., of Glennville, GA; two sisters, Carlene Porter and Classine Porter of Glennville, GA; four god-sisters, Barbara Ann Hardman, Christina Olgesby, Gwen Holmes, and Katrina Stewart; two god-brothers, Patrick Lee Olgesby, Dennis Stewart; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a special friend Cozenia Rogers of Vidalia, GA; and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
