Obituary for Edna Mae Hines

Edna was born June 6, 1945, to the late Willie (O.C.) Roberson and late Lessie Mae Moore Roberson. On Saturday, October 14, 2017, she heard the voice of God and replied, “I am ready to come home!”
Edna attended the Tattnall County Public School System. She was employed as a seamstress at Glennville Lingerie Corp. in Glennville, GA for many years. When Lingerie closed its doors, she was employed at Ithaca Industries in Glennville, GA until it closed in 2000. She joined First African Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and was a faithful member until moving to Atlanta, GA in 2008. She also attended Antioch Baptist Church North in Atlanta, GA under the leadership of Rev. C.M. Alexander.
On July 3, 1965, Edna married her childhood sweetheart, Alexander Hines in Ludowici, GA.  He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Willie (O.C.) & Lessie Mae Roberson, brother, Harry Moore, and sister Minnie Wright.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Arthur (Ramona) Hines of Atlanta, GA,; four daughters: Darlene (Robert) Marshall of Glennville, GA, Brenda Hines of Atlanta, GA, Sharlene Hines of Glennville, GA, and Keisha Lewis (Tourner) of Lithonia, GA; eight grandchildren: Tmeka Proctor of Hinesville, GA, Dannie Bailey of Lithia Springs, GA, Robert Marshall III of Hinesville, GA, Elijah Lewis-Coley, Elise Lewis-Coley, and Elana Lewis-Coley all of Lithonia, GA, Alexander Hines and Twana Smith of Atlanta, GA; five great grandchildren: Ja’Mari Proctor, Sha’Laya Proctor, Sha’Nylah Proctor, Ja’Monte Proctor, and Raylynn Marshall all of Hinesville, GA; two sisters: Roberta Forest of Reidsville, GA and Lillie Pearl Boyd of Ludowici, GA; two brothers: David (Annie) Roberson of Atlanta, GA and J.C. (Cora Lee) Roberson of Ludowici, GA; daughter-in-law: Alice Hines; four sister-in-laws: Victoria Jenkins & Sallie Mae Hines both of Glennville, GA, Carrie Hines of Dobson, SC, Joeretha Hines of New Haven, CT; and an array of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
A special cousin Lula Mae Wilcox of Glennville, GA; a special niece, Angela Roberson of College Park, GA; a special person she adored, Keith (Kebo) McNeal (aka her boyfriend) of Glennville, GA.
