Mrs. Ollie Mae Porter was born on July 21, 1934, in Glennville, Georgia, to the late Ellie Roe Ford and Mary Mincey Ford. As the fifth of eleven children, she spent her childhood surrounded by the love and companionship of a large family.
She was married to the late Mr. Junious A. Porter, and together they built a loving home and raised their family until his passing.
Mrs. Ollie Mae was a devoted member of St. James A.M.E. Church, where she faithfully served on the Stewardess Board and was an active member of the Minnie L. Williams Missionary Society. She supported her church in many other ways and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
In her later years, she made her home with her daughter, Sylvia, who faithfully brought her to Mt. Carmel Holiness Church in Richboro, Georgia, where she worshipped under the leadership of Bishop Julian A. Jones. She especially enjoyed listening to gospel music and hearing the Word of God.
On Sunday, July 5, 2026, Mrs. Ollie Mae peacefully departed this earthly life surrounded by her family, at the age of 91. Although her presence will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the countless memories they shared and the lasting impact she made on everyone who was blessed to know and love her.
