Ophene Elizabeth Bacon

Mother Ophene Elizabeth Bacon was born April 21, 1934 in Buena Vista, GA to the late Jeff Moore and Julia McCrary. She entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Hinesville, GA. She was married to Deacon Lawrence "Carroll" Bacon. She was member of Greater Zachariah Missionary Baptist Church, Glennville, GA. After relocating to Hinesville, GA she joined Pleasant Grove A.M.E. Church. She had one son, Thomas W. Searcy, Jr. to precede her in death, also three brothers, Will Harvey, Henry Harvey and John Harvey. She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted and loving husband- Lawrence "Carroll" Bacon, Hinesville, GA; two sons– Calvin Robinson and Gregory Freeman, two daughters-Vanessa Johnson Blake and Delores Searcy Young and one step-daughter-Barbette Bacon. One sister Ann Phillips and one brother Connie Harvey; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a special niece and nephew Denise and Richard Bunch. She will also be missed by a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
