Oscar Eady Sr.

Mr. Oscar Lee Eady, Sr. was born on November 18, 1955 in McRae, GA to the late Ruthie Mae (McMillian) and John Eady, Jr. He attend the public school system of Telfair County. On May 3, 1975, he was joined in holy matrimony to Ms. Lillian Ann Williams, with whom he fathered two children. He was a dedicated father and husband. He was employed with the City of McRae for many years. On January 26, 2016, the sun set on the life of Mr. Eady as he answered Our Father's sweet yet final call. His transition to rest in the arms of Jesus took place at Serenity Place Hospice Care Center in Dublin, GA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Eady was preceded in death by his stepmother, Mrs. Jannis Curene Eady (2015); his sisters, Lillian Eady Turner (1990) and Delphine Eady Randolph (2009); and, his stepbrother, Tommy 'Butch' Wright (2005). All who knew Oscar would likely agree that he was a gentle soul with an infectious laugh. His life will continue to be celebrated and his memory will be cherished by his children, La'Vesha (Lorez) Eady-Badger and Oscar 'O.J.' Eady, Jr.; his granddaughter, Diamond Badger; his two sisters, Kathy Elaine (Bobby) Harris and Rose Mary (Lonnie) West; his brother, Hayward Eady; his four stepsisters, Lynnette (Emanuel) Harris, Beverly Nzuzu, Sharon (Donald) Fraley, Paulette Wright; his four stepbrothers, Michael Wright, Kenneth (Lillian) Wright, Terry (Michelle) Wright, Jack (Lizene) Wright; special, long-time family friend Genita Austin; and a host of aunts (Special Mention - Alice Eady Batten), uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with other family and friends.
