SPC. Percy G. Brown III, age 41, passed away on Tuesday evening October 04, 2022. He was surrounded by his loved ones at home in Glennville, Georgia. Percy was born on April 29, 1981 in Landstuhl, Germany.

Percy graduated from Killeen High School in 1999, and joined the U.S Army later that year. While stationed in Ft. Stewart, Percy met and then married the "One Love of His Life" Shanara Arthur. God blessed this union with three sons. Percy went on to serve four years in the US. Army Reserves. Percy achieved his Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems as well as his Bachelors in Criminal Justice. Percy was employed by Core Civic as an educator at the Coffee Correctional Facility.

Percy loved God and continued to profess his love and acceptance of Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. He professed this even when his mind started to fail his body. He was baptized on June 20, 2022 at the "First Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ" in Atlanta, Georgia under his Pastor Geno Jennings. Percy was proud to protect the freedoms of the United States, and even prouder to serve within the 3rd ID as a "Dog Face Soldier" within the 1-39 FA. He was proud to work as an Educator within Core Civic. Percy enjoyed spending time with his family, enjoying his video games, music, sports and displaying his sense of style and fashion.

Percy was preceded in death by his Mother Wonder B. Bell and his son Phillip D. Brown.

Percy leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife of 20 years Shanara Brown, his sons; Mr. Percy Brown IV and Shanathan Brown, his parents; Percy Brown Jr and Toni Hopkins Brown, Parents -in- love; Mr. Cleveland Arthur Jr. and Maria Arthur, Sisters; Dr. Tynia Hopkins (Naples, Italy), Covonda Brown (Arkansas), Michelle Brown (Texas), brother; Tyree Brown (Texas), Sisters- in- love; Careitta Arthur, Candice Arthur, Chiquita Arthur and Megan Johnson. Nephews Malik Arthur, Wondane Brown (Arkansas), Jaquail Arthur and Jasper Arthur, Nieces; Mionda Brown (Arkansas), Shaniyah Johnson, Special Aunt; Joyce Harp, special friends; Mr. Jimmie (Felicia) Moore, Kendrick Garner, Michael P. Johnson, John Barber, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, U.S Heroes, Core Civic coworkers and friends.
