Randolph Wicker

Randolph Wicker was born on June 15, 1947, in Glennville, Ga to Andrew (Buddy) Wicker and Ola Mae Grantham Wicker. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Willie Joe, Clydie, and Claudie, and one sister, Leslie Laura.

Randolph obtained his education in the Tattnall Co. School system, where he graduated with the class of 1966 at the Tattnall Co. Industrial High School, Reidsville, Ga. He played the drums in the high school band and was one of the fastest track runners under the leadership of Coach William Hall.

He found joy in sharing his gift of song with his community, lifting their spirits at First African Baptist Church and Smith St. Church of God.

He was married to Annie Brown and into this union, they had three children.

For many years, he worked as a Manager/ Presser at Deloach Service Cleaners. With his exceptional skills and attention to detail, he made sure that every pair of jeans that left the cleaners had a crisp and fresh crease that would turn heads. His dedication and commitment to his work made him a valuable asset to the company and a favorite among the customers.

He was known for his contagious laughter and charming personality. Whenever you saw him, you could count on him to make you smile with his playful banter and warm conversation.

He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters and three sons : Rhonda(Nathaniel) Richardson, Derek (Marcy)Wicker, Myra(Gabriel) Cooper, Darryl Harrison and Kendrell (Kimberly) Tippins. His brothers, Rudolph( Liller Smith) Wicker and Ricky Wicker. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a special friend, Ms Peggy Ford, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
