Rebecca Ann Williams-Jones was born June 9,1949 in Tattnall County, Georgia to Wilford Williams and Mellie Ruth Braggs-Brown who both preceded her in death. On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, she transitioned from life at St. Joseph & Candler's Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Rebecca Williams attended school in Tattnall County, Georgia. Rebecca Williams was known as a loving person and helped anyone that she encountered with. She also loved to spend time with family and friends; portrayed as a motherly figure to many people. Rebecca Williams is preceded in death by her late husband, Johnnie Lee Jones, son, Michael Williams, two daughters, Allison Darlene Williams and Stephanie Renee Williams, and sister, Lillie Joyce Brown, and four brothers, Wilford Williams Jr., Terry Williams, Bobby Williams, and Sammy Williams. Late Grandparents Herschel (Avis) Braggs and John (Viola) Williams. She leaves behind to cherish her memories and survived by, her father, Daniel Brown of Glennville Georgia, son -James (Shannon) Williams of Jacksonville Florida, and her daughter- Cherry Russell of Hinesville, Georgia, her goddaughter- Zella (Billy) Johnson of Glennville Georgia, her aunts- Earnestine Williams of Ineslin, New Jersey and Betty(James) Davis of Statesboro, Georgia, her sisters- Betty Williams of Elizabeth City, New Jersey, Diane Knight of Hinesville, Georgia and Priscilla Brown, Pamela Brown, Tonja Brown all of Glennville Georgia, her brothers- Hercules (Shirley) Eason of Sanford, Florida, Earl Brown of Reidsville, Georgia, Terry (Lucille) Brown of Pooler, Georgia, and Erick (Mae) Brown, her grandchildren -TaRandell (Aleceia) Williams, Shakeem Tootle, Aaron Williams, Olivia (Hailey) Garrard- Marden, Michael Williams,Darrell Russell, Kristi (Shay) Logan, Katie (Justin) Echeverry, her great grandchildren - TaRandell Jr., TaRhonda, Tariah, Ta'Mya, De' Zereion, Arrion, Taylen, Aurianna, Kaleb, Journey, Serenity, Zhaire', Jace, Liberte', Ace, Kasen, Kha'Nayla, Scarlett, Jordan, Liam, Lyla, Braxton, Memphis, Gavin, and Aaron Jr., and her grand -godchildren - Regina Murphy, Erica Nesbitt, Jessica Nesbitt, and LaKendra Caesar, and a host of nieces and nephews. Special caregivers: Brittany Zanders, Samantha Hall, Di'Andra Padgett, Kendra Woods, Deborah Thomas, Chandra Fate- Nails, Brendajia Williams, Tina Filmore, and Becky Love. As well as her best friends: Katheryn Thorpe, Emma Lewis, and Geneaver Greene.
