Rev. Dr. John C. Williams

Reverend Dr. John C. Williams, Jr., 64, transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, GA. He was born on February 11, 1955 to Creola Leaston Williams and the late Reverend John C. Williams, Jr. He was a 1972 graduate of Reidsville High School and earned a degree in electronics from Swainsboro Tech and a Doctorate of Theology from Trinity Temple College of Religion. At the time of his passing Reverend Williams was the pastor of Greater Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Lyons, GA. He is survived by: his wife of 42 years, Verdie King Williams; sons, John C. (Felicia) Williams, III and Justin (Christina) Williams; mother, Creola L. Williams; brother, Willie Frank(Gloria) Sheppard; sisters, Gary Dean Sheppard, Dorothy James and Linda Williams; and a host of in laws, cousins, other relatives, church members and friends.
