Robert Lee Gillis Jr., son of the late Robert Lee Gillis, Sr, and JoAnne Hall Sease was born on February 26, 1972, in Long County Georgia. After a brief illness, on August 20, 2023, Robert declared victory and was awarded his wings, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup, Georgia.
Robert received his education in both Tattnall and Wayne Counties.
Robert knew and loved the Lord with all of his heart. Although he didn't have a church home, Robert was grounded and rooted at Railroad Avenue Church of God in Jesup, Georgia under the leadership of the late Pastor Willie and Sister Pinkie Brown. He also shared a special relationship with Bishop Kendall and First Lady Mary Shaw. Being a person blessed with many talents, Robert was a jack of all trades and a very intelligent individual. A free-spirited, caring, humble soul.
Robert is preceded in death by both parents, Robert Lee Gillis Sr and JoeAnne Hall Sease; and a brother, Steven Dewayne Gillis.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Kaelijiah Reiger of Statesboro Georgia; A Stepfather, Timothy Sease of Jesup Georgia; three sisters, Valesa Frazier of Jesup, Georgia, Robin Sims of Gainesville, Florida, and Crystal (DJ) Ingram of Port Wentworth, Georgia; two brothers, Travis Gillis of Jesup, Georgia, and Antonio (Bianca) Sease of Waycross, Georgia; four nieces; five nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, bonus sisters, friends, and a community of people that truly loved him.
