Mr. Roger Aurelius Williams, 60, of Glennville GA passed away suddenly on Saturday, 10-9-2023. He was born on June 25, 1963 to the late Ralph A. Williams and Sarah N. Williams.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Joseph and Inell Hancock, Paternal grandparents Jack and Julia Williams.
Roger was born in Bridgeport, CT and a 1981 Bassick High School graduate. At the age of 18, Roger enlisted in the Army and served 4 years. After coming out of the Army, he relocated to Albany, NY. Then from there, he relocated to Jersey City, NJ. Lastly, in 2014, Roger decided to make Glennville GA his home. Roger was a man who never knew a stranger. Everywhere he went, there was always a new friend. He was gifted with the ability to play the organ by ear. When there was a job to be done, Roger would pitch in to lend a helping hand.
Left to cherish his memory, are his wife Pamela Long Williams and son, Roger Jr of Jersey City, NJ. Daughter, Uriah Williams of Albany, NY; Mother, Sarah N. Williams of Prince George VA, Steve A. Hancock (Robin)of Atlanta, GA and Clare N. Williams of Prince George VA, Nephew Steve A. Hancock, Jr of Atlanta GA and a host of Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and other relatives and Friends.
