Roosevelt "Ratsey" Johnson was born to the parentage of Sam and Lula Johnson on June 16, 1946, in Claxton, Georgia. On May 1, 2022, his life transitioned from his earthly home to his eternal rest. He was a native of Glennville, GA, and attended the Tattnall County School System.
For many years, he was a welder for Lee Machine Welding Shop of Glennville, GA. He worked for Tatum Brothers Farm Supply of Glennville, GA until his death.
He attended Little Rock Holiness Church. Roosevelt loved playing the guitar, cutting hair in his free time, and spending time with loved ones and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Lula Johnson; siblings, Sam Johnson, Jr., and Rosa Lean Smith; and children, Roosevelt Tootle, Ella Mae Hankerson, and Keisha Futch.
Roosevelt leaves to cherish his memories; His former wife, Shirley Tootle-Johnson; twelve children, Shirley Miller, Ruthie Phillips, Lisa Johnson, Sharvelt Johnson, Darren Johnson, Julie Grant, Charles (Betty) Grant, Casma Ross, Dana Ross, Ann Futch, Kenny Futch, and Cheryl Grimes; two brothers, Pete (Ruby) Johnson, and Jack (Raycine) Johnson; a special friend, Carolyn Freeman, all of Glennville; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives whom he loved dearly.
