Roosevelt Mcrae

Mr. Roosevelt McRae was born on March 17, 1936 to the parentage of the late Johnny and Bertha McRae. He transitioned to his eternal home in Heaven after a short illness on November 22, 2020. Roosevelt was passionate about his family and enjoyed basketball. In his younger years, he attended Hazlehurst High School and was a star basketball player. He was a member of The House of God Church for many years. He was employed with Wilson Hardware and later retired from Ridge Pallet in Hazlehurst, Georgia. Roosevelt is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Bertha McRae and brother, Walter John McRae. He leaves to cherish his memories with a devoted wife of 65 years, Louella McRae; six children: Clarice (Cornelius) Wooten, Wanda Lawrence, Marilyn Wallace, Miranda McRae (Joe) Harmon, Shelia Knox, and Gary (Nikita) McRae. He also leaves lasting memories with a host of grandchildren, great - grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends
