Rosetta was born on May 8, 1948 to the late Willie Robert Chambers and
Annie Pearl Howard Chambers. At an early age, she was a member of
Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to
Bennett Tabernacle Holiness Church. She attended school in
Hazlehurst, Ga.
On June 12, 1965 she married Robert Knox, Sr. (RL) and their union
seven children were born. Rosetta was employed with the Jeff Davis
Board of Education in the nutrition department and in the
transportation department as a bus driver for 25 years. She touched the
lives of so many people, always willing to lend a helping hand to
others. Her husband described her best by saying, "She's mean as a
rattlesnake, but has a heart of gold." Rosetta was loved and respected
by so many.
Rosetta transitioned to her heavenly home on January 24, 2025. She
is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Knox Sr., one son, Robert
Knox Jr., and one godson, Felix Bennett (Pulum). She leaves to cherish
her memories, three son; Jurell (Cynthia) Knox of Hazlehurst, Ga,
Adrian Knox of Decatur, GA, and Patrick Knox Sr. of Hazlehurst, GA;
three daughters, Luetta Inniss of Grovetown, GA, Desarie Knox of
Hazlehurst, GA and Roberta (Terrell) Torres of Lithonia, GA;
daughter-n-law, Pamela Knox of Goose Creek, SC,
brother, Benny Burch of Brunswick, GA; two sisters, Willie Pearl
Chambers of Hazlehurst, GA and Elizabeth Hood of Baxley, GA, sister-in-law,
Genether Ellis of Hazlehurst, Ga. brother-in-law, Willie C.
Knox of Waycross, GA, 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren,
special sons, Jason Brookins and James Pope, special niece (raised as a
daughter), Kathy Streeter, and a host of nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends
