Apostle Roy L. Dugger was born Februry 15, 1969 to the late James Levi Dugger and Elise Brown Dugger, of Lumber City Georgia.
He received his education through the Telfair County School System. He later obtained his Commercial Driver's License from Altamaha Technical College.
Roy began his career as a Truck Driver driving for over twenty-five years, his last job was a fork lift operator.
As a teenager he relocated to Philadelphia P. A. where he resided for five years, his love for the South and his community brought him back to Lumber City Georgia at a young age. He dedicated his life to God. He joined Full Gospel Church of God under the leadership of Bishop William Hollis, under Bishop Hollis teaching and leadership Roy became a minister. Several years later he founded his own Church Abundant Grace, where he opened the doors and heart and welcome all.
Roy's Favorite Scripture Matthew 3: 10-11
The ax is already at the root of the tree, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Roy received his final call of God to come home on July 28, 2024 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Roy Parents along with 11 siblings who proceed him in death Edgar Dugger, Charles L. Dugger, VernonDugger, Tray C. Dugger, Williams L. Dugger, Otis Dugger, Louise Dugger-McNeil, Jewel Dugger-Chatman, Elise B. Smith, Surleady Smith-Clark, and Inell Dugger-Brown.
Roy leaves to cherish his memories, his Ex-wife Twana Howell Dugger of Lumber City Georgia one Daughter Deja Howell, two grandsons Mican Howell-Dixon and Kamari Reese, all of East Orange N. J. one brother W. Cliff Dugger (Sophia) of Lumber City Georgia three sisters Malinda Siler of Philadelphia, P. A. Gloria Dugger of Waycross, Georgia and Lei Dugger of Hinesville, Georgia. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday August 10, 2024 at 11am at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Lumber City, GA. The Burial was held after the service in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lumber City, GA
