Sadie I. Thomas

Mrs. Sadie I Thomas, widower of Joseph Molen Thomas II, passed away on Wednesday September 19, 2007 at Triad of Lumber City, Ga. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25, at 1:00pm at Bennett Tabernacle Holiness Church, Hazlehurst, Ga with burial in The Antioche CME Church Cemetery. Ms. Thomas was born November 13, 1925 to the late Willie and Lena Benjamin in Emanuel County. She was the sixth child to bring joy to the Benjamin Family. Mother Thomas was united in Holy Matrimony to Joseph Molen Thomas, II and to this union four children were born. She leaves to cherish her memories two loving daughters, Mrs. Jessie (Gary) Troup, Mattie Lee Smith and one son, Joseph Molen Thomas III; ten grandchildren, Selma Owens, Srederick Rushing, Delvecchio Rushing, Zabrina Smith, Spencer Smith, Lasadie Hall, Dejon Hall, Darius Hall, Tiffany Carter and Jamal Thomas; Six- great-grandchildren, Arieal Smith, Lord Michael Smith, D'Angelo Smith, Jaliel Smith, Llandess Owens and Chastity Rushing; one sister, Mary (Marion) HAll: one-brother-in-law, John R. Hansley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, saints and friends. One daughter, Bertha Ann Carter, Five sisters Beola McCoy, Ruby Jones, Gladys Brantley, Ruthie Benjiman and Claudia Hansley and three brothers, Avery, James, and Sampson Benjamin, all preceded her in death.
