Sally Mae Hines

May 18, 1949 — February 4, 2022

Ms. Sally Mae Hines, 72, from Glennville, GA passed away peacefully with family at her side on February 4, 2022, at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, GA. Affectionately known as "Sally" or "Blossom", answered the plea of Jesus, "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest -Matthew 11:28" after a short battle with her health. Sally was born and raised in Glennville, GA to the late Annie Ruth and A.D. Williams. She was lovingly raised by her mother and stepdad, Enoch Walker, who embraced her the same as his own daughters. Sally accepted the Lord at a young age at First African Baptist Church under the leadership of Revered E.J. Johnson, Sr. in Glennville, GA. In 1968, Sally married the late Victor A. Hines, Sr. Together they moved to Winston-Salem, NC to start and raise a family. From that union they had three children Janice Marie, Roger and Victor Jr. Once her children were grown, she returned to her hometown Glennville, GA. Sally had a gift for baking a mouthwatering lemon pound cake from scratch. She also graced her family and friends with a "how you doing" phone call filled with laughs while reminiscing about the good old days. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings Larry Williams and Janice "Niecy" Hutchinson. Left to cherish the memories of the mom and grandma that would do everything that she could… when she could… are her three children: Janice (Kenn) Wilson of Winston Salem, NC, Roger (Sierra) Hines, Sr of Peachtree City, GA and Victor A. Hines, Jr of Glennville GA. Sally was a grandmother who adored her eight grandchildren: Breyona, Kenndra, DeShaun, Ashley, Roger Jr, Ian, Peteria, Victor III - (grandma's Sport) and her first great-grand Brayden.
