Sarah Jackson Jennings

November 17, 1926 — January 20, 2021

Mrs. Sarah Jackson Jennings was born in Guyton, GA on November 17, 1926 to the late Jacob Jackson and Carrie Bell Badger Jackson. She resided in Savannah, GA most of her adult life and was married to the Willie Jennings, who preceded her in death in 1987. Most of her life was devoted to being a caregiver to the Ashcroft Family of Savannah. She retired in 2000. Mrs. Jennings loved the Lord, her church and her family greatly. She worshipped at Little Salem Holiness Church, Pembroke, GA under Bishop Bennie Bacon, Sr., until she was no longer able to commute. She then became a member of Prophecy Church on the Rock of the Living God, Savannah, GA under the leadership of Pastor Anna R. Thompson until her health began to fail. She was a resident of Azalea Health and Rehabilitation of Metter, GA before she was called to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. She was preceded in death by six sisters, Eunice Singleton, Rushia White, Anna Lee Sellers, Eva Mae Bacon, Henrietta Jackson and Nolie Primus; and her four brothers, Dan Jackson, Sidney Jackson, Thomas Jackson and Jacob(Buck) Jackson. Mrs. Jennings leaves to mourn her passing, Lester and Brenda Bacon, who were her caregivers for a number of years, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews and a host of caring loving friends.
