Mrs. Shirley Jean Clemons Spikes was born December 28, 1941, in Wheeler Country Ga to the late Doretha King Stone and Otis Clements Sr. God called her home on November 16, 2024
at Oxley Park Nursing Home in Lyons, Georgia after a short illness.
She was a long-time member of Central Truevine Holiness Unto The Lord Church for over 20 years under the leadership of the Late Bishop Annians Phillips and current Pastor, Craig Blount. She worked at Rose Bud Factory and Bethaney Nursing home in her early years. Following her marriage she became a home maker.
Preceding her in death were her Father Otis Clemons Sr. and Mother Doretha King Stone. One son, Leo "Pig" Miller Jr. Two brothers; Odes Clements Jr, and James Lee Clements.
Shirley leaves to cherish the fond memories, a loving husband of 46 years, Robert Sylvester Spikes Jr. of Vidalia Ga. Three sons, Samuel Eugene Davis of Vidalia, Ga, Rev. Ricky Roydell Carter (Wanda) of Greer, SC. James Edward Carter Sr. (Jocquelyn) of Stockbridge,Ga.Two daughters, Desiree Lynette Payne (Johnny) of Bainbridge, & Ga. Jacqueline Everette Gillis (Shawn) of Vidalia, Ga.14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
