State Elder Andrew J. Mincey

"For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of My departure is at hand. 2 TIMOTHY4:6 State Elder Andrew Mincey, II, was born to the late Andrew Mincey Sr. and Bertha Lee Pierce-Mincey on July 10, 1943. He grew up in Emanuel County, then moved to Detroit, Michigan. Later he moved to Hazlehurst, Georgia where he met and married Deaconess Reabie Mae McCoy-Mincey a loyal and true soulmate for Sixty-One Years. They were united in marriage on March 23, 1962. To this union, two sons were born. He received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at an early age and joined The House of God Church in Hazlehurst, Georgia. He assisted the late Bishop H. L. Harrison in building churches in Hazlehurst, Georgia and Waycross, Georgia. State Elder Andrew Mincey served as Pastor of the following Houses of God Churches in Uvalda, Waycross, Fitzgerald, Pembroke, Valdosta, Hazlehurst, Patterson and Nashville. He served as a Presiding Elder and General Elder in Georgia Diocese for many years. He leaves to cherish fond memories to his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Deaconess Reabie Mae Mincey. Two sons Edward Leon (Tomik) Mincey of Hazlehurst Georgia and Reverend Andrew Mincey III of Hogansville, Georgia; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Two brothers, Floyd (Georgia) Mincey of Hazlehurst, Georgia and Ricky (Linda) Mincey of McRae, Georgia. Two sisters, Evangelist Carrie Lee (Deacon Reno) Thomas and Gloria Jean (David) Hargrove both of Hazlehurst, Georgia. Sisters-In-Law: Ellawese Mincey of Arcadia, Louisiana; Odessa Hall, Lovanna (Robert) Griffin, and Ollie Mae Harris, all from Hazlehurst, Georgia. And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. State Elder Andrew Mincey can say as Apostle Paul stated in 2 Timothy 4:7-8 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them that love his appearing. "When You Hear of My Home Going Don't Worry About Me"
