Steward Brogery Clinton

Life Reflections We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Steward Brogery Clinton, 61 years old. He was the only beloved son of the late Willie Lee Clinton and the late Minnie Kornegay Clinton, born on November 1, 1960 in Savannah, GA. Stew transitioned from his earthly life on June 22, 2022, at 8:30 pm while in Emory University Midtown Hospital. He made a plethora of friends and helped people wherever life took him. His 20-year career as a Navy Seabee, (advanced builder), Navy Law Enforcement Specialist, OSHA Safety Manager, and a Safety Technician took him on worldwide travels to Scotland, Italy, Germany, London, Africa, Kuwait, etc. He also served in Operation Desert Storm. During his time in the Navy, Stew received: Sea Service Deployment Ribbon w/ 1 Silver Star & 1 Bronze Star; Navy Expert Pistol Shot Medal; Global War On Terrorism Service Medal; Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal w/ 3 Gold Stars; Overseas Service Ribbon w/ 3 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal w/ 4 Bronze Stars, Humanitarian Service Medal w/ 2 Bronze Stars, Navy "E" Ribbon (3); Coast Guard Special Ops Ribbon; Kuwait Liberation Medal; Navy Rifle Expert Medal; Southwest Asia Service Medal w/ Bronze Star; National Defense Service Medal w/ Bronze Star; Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal; Joint Meritorious Unit Award; Navy Unit Commendation; Fleet Marine Force Combat Ops Insignia; Joint Meritorious Service Medal; Flag Letter of Commendation (2); and the Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation w/ Distinguished Operations Device. He was an amazing man, who led an extraordinary life! Stew graduated from The High School of Music and Arts in New York, attended Arts Student League to develop his skillful and masterful talent in art. He was a surrealist painter, illustrator and portrait artist, completing over 150 portrait commissions. Stew's Higher Education included: School of Visual Arts College NYC; City College of NY and St. Leo University. He was also a Fraternity Brother of the 32* Scottish Rite Freemasonry and later advanced to a Master Mason with the Shriners International Fraternity. Steward was also a firm believer in Civil Rights and kept a watchful eye on the temperature of Politics. He is survived by his sister, Falisa Kay Clinton-Scott; Brother-in-Law, W.E. Scott, Nephew - Steward Dondi Clinton; Niece - Genique Clinton; Great Nephew - Josiah Caleb Clinton; a host of loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
