On Monday, December 22, 2008, Terrance (Tee) Anthony Dinkins departed this life at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Terrence is the son of Marilyn Lorraine Dinkins and the late John Anthony (Tony) Dinkins. He graduated from Glennville High School with the Class 1992 and entered the United States (U.S.) Navy immediately after graduation. Terrence actively served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years and was honorable discharged.
He received the following awards from Meritorious Unit Commendation: Battle 'E' Ribbon; Good Conduct Meal (3); Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (2); Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal. He received a certificate in Air Conditioning Technology, Air Conditioning Installation and Repair Specialist from Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro, Ga. in December 2006.
His father John Anthony Dinkins, grandmother Mary Lee Tomblin, grandfather Johnnie Eashmond and great granmother Cannie Bell Wilkerson preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving mother Mrs. Marilyn L. Dinkins of Reidsville, Ga.; one sister Ms. Andrea Hicks and fiancee Rodney Greene of Stockbridge, Ga., one brother Mr. Rodney Dinkins and fiancee Shelia Dease of Pooler, Ga., one stepson Devin Corbin of Melbourne, Fla.; two nephews Anthony Hicks, Jr. and Jeremiah Coxton-Dease; paternal grandmother Ms. Thelma Eashmond of Glennville, Ga.; maternal grandfather Mr. Arthur Tomblin of Reidsville, Ga.; one uncle Mr. Ronnie (Andrea) Tomblin of Dacula, Ga., one aunt Mrs. Patricia (Morris) Meriwether of Milwaukee, WI; four great uncles Mr. Willie (Belton) Dinkins of Vidalia, Ga., Mr. Loriane (Lucy Mae) Howard of Reidsville, Ga., Mr. Raleigh Nobles of Loganville, Ga., Mr. Bennie Earl Nobles of Claxton, Ga., two great aunts Mrs. Frances (Grady) McCray of Metter, Ga. and Rev. Brenda N. Brown of Hardeeville, SC; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held Monday, December 29, 2008 at 1:00pm at Greater Bethel A.M.E. in Reidsville, Ga. with burial in the Glennville City Cemetery in Glennville, Ga.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm - 7:00pm, Sunday, December 28, 2008 at King and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Glennville, Ga.
No wake services will be held.
