Thomas Lee Bradley

July 29, 1971 — October 19, 2021

Thomas Lee Bradley, Jr. Was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on July 29, 1971. He was the first-born child of Thomas Bradley, Sr. and Dreamer Bradley. Thomas departed this life on October 19, 2021. At a very young age Thomas showed an aptitude for computers, languages, and technology. He spoke Spanish, Italian, and German fluently by the end of High School. In the 80s when computers were introduced in school, he fell in love. With a steep tradition of military service on both sides of his family it was no surprise that he took that love to the Army. While in the Army, Thomas spent more time overseas that stateside. He enjoyed every minute of it as he sent back mementos from Qatar, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Korea, Germany, Italy, and Macedonia. Officially, Thomas served as an IT Specialist. He didn't like that term as it was deemed beneath his skills. Unofficially, he always joked that he's the person that IT calls when they can't figure something out. He had come a long way from writing lines of code in the school library just to make a computer say "hello" but he was humble enough to patch into my computer remotely while he was overseas to get it back running. Thomas accomplished many things over his long Army career but he felt most proud of his time as a First Sergeant. He took that job seriously and wanted to provide young soldiers with the guidance that was much needed in their lives. In 2018 after close to 28 years in service to the Army, 1SG. Bradley retired. Despite all of his military duties, it was absolutely wonderful to see him jump right into his role of Uncle. Although Thomas was notoriously private, he loved his family deeply and fiercely, he saw no flaw that he couldn't see through. Over the years, I kept him updated via Facebook with the going ons of his nieces and nephews. So, when he saw everyone, it was like he watched them grow up first hand. While they were allowed to grow up, he still could never see me as anything but his "little sister" and I was okay with that. He was preceded int death by his mother Dreamer Bradley, his sister Joann Yvonne Bradley, his maternal grandmother Lula Thompson, his paternal grandparents Pastor Henry Bradley and Cora Bradley, and more beloved family members. Family left to carry on his memory and legacy; his dad, Associate Pastor Thomas Bradley, Sr. (Lashon), his sister Temple L. Grimes (Mike), his sister Monique Jenkins (Kareem), his brothers Marquis and Johnathan Tinner, his nephews Charles Grimes, J'Vonne Bradley, Tobias Bradley and Caleb Tinner, his nieces Carmen and Tia Grimes and Gabrielle Jenkins along with a loving abundance of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
