Thomas J. Futch

Thomas J. Futch, Sr., 81, of Ambler, PA passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on June 10, 2025. He was born in Glennville, GA on February 2, 1944 to the late Thomas J. and Eldrie Ruth Futch. Thomas's family moved to Lambertville, NJ where he spent many years. Thomas dedicated 25 loyal years working for the Ambler Borough Water Department, where he earned widespread respect and friendships. Prior to his retirement, as a teenager he loved drag racing, a passion that bloomed into his lifelong pride in his cars. After retirement, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of returning to Glennville, GA purchasing a 25 acre pecan farm, where he built a 6 bedroom estate where his family shared loving memories. Thomas loved old western movies and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He is survived by his 6 children: Thomas Futch, Jr. (Sheryl Gershman), Mark Futch (Valarie), Miko Papp (Brian), Lisa Futch, Elsie Williams, Melissa Davis; 9 grandchildren: Jasmine, Mark, Jr., Mackenzie, Tristan, Daisia, D'Andre, Malyiah, DJ, Jada; 4 great-grandchildren: Maelyse, Giovanna, Kehlani, Ace.; nieces: Mechelle and Catherine; his nephew Robert; great-niece: Channon and his significant other: Theresa Johns-Vallone. He was predeceased by his siblings: Lawanda Lawson, Albert Futch. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday evening, June 20, 2025 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. A Service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11 AM at Greater Zachariah Church in Glennville, Georgia. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
