Mr. Thurman Lovett, 49 of Glennville, Ga. passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Community Hospice in Vidalia, Ga.
Thurman Lovett was born June 8, 1961 in Tattnall County, Ga. to the late Sidney Lovett and Ann V. Harvey.The Tattnall County native is a 1980 graduate of Glennville High School and was retired from the Department of Transportation.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving mother, Ann V. Phillips, Ten brothers: Sidney S. Lovett of Brooksville, Fla., Frankie L. Lovett of Chicago, Il., Herman (Pam) Lovett of Hinesville, Ga., Kim Phillips and Timothy Phillips of Glennville, Ga., Rev. Harry (Betty) Lovett of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Herman L. Collins (Marilyn) of Shreveport, La., Christopher Lovett of Glennville, Ga., Michael (Arrielle) Berry of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Nicholas (Kristina) Berry of St. Petersburg, Fla. Two sisters: Judy A. Lovett of Atlanta, Ga., Lee Artra Simon of Glennville, Ga. A host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and many sorrowing friends.
Funeral services will be held at the First African Baptist Church in Glennville, Ga. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 11:00am with burial in the Georgia Veterans Cemetery in Glennville, Ga.
Viewing will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 from 11:00am until 7:00pm at the Chapel of King and Son's Funeral Home.
