Valerie Christine Tribble was born May 12, 1956 to the late Lugenia (Sue) Robinson -Tribble in Lumber City GA. She attended the public school system Lumber City, GA and graduated from the White Plains City School District in White Plains, New York.
Valerie continued her education at SUNY Stony Brook in Long Island, New York, where she graduated in the field of Social Work. She received her Master Degree in Social Work/Alcoholism. Valerie was a dedicated worker and took her job seriously. Valerie worked at New York Presbyterian Hospital as a Mental Health worker. She held many jobs as a Social Worker throughout Westchester County, Bronx, and Harlem, NY.
Valerie was a member of the Black Social Workers, where she traveled tirelessly when she could until she retired in 2018. She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church in White Plains, New York. She served in many capacities, Youth Choir, Sunday School, Youth Advisor Valerie, Nursery Department, and Hospitality Ministry.
Valerie loved children. Although she did not have any of her own she was the god-mother to many. Family was very important to her. She took care of, looked after, and did whatever she could to help you, whether you were family, a friend or just someone that needed help.
On Friday, April 3, 2020, Valerie was called to her heavenly home from the Coliseum Medical Centers, Macon, Georgia. She leaves to cherish her memories to siblings: Howard (Denise) Tribble, White Plains, NY; Raymond Tribble, Brewster, NY; Donna (Joe) Bannister, White Plains, NY; Kristina Tribble, Albany, NY; Kevin (Savora) Tribble, Silver Springs Boulder, CO. Six nieces: Tasia, Tamara, Talise, Tayahni, Toriana and Taylor. Six nephews: Terrance, Tim Jr, Talen, Taijon, Tawan and Micah. Special aunts: Evelyn (Franklin) Tribble and Annette Robinson of Cayce, South Carolina; Annette Robinson and Evelyn Robinson of New Jersey; Uncle, Rev. Randolph (Shirley) Robinson. Special cousins, Troy and Laura Ann Kirk. A host of family and friends. She is predeceased by her brother, Timothy Christopher Tribble.
