Waldo Smith

View Video Mr. Waldo Smith was born to Ora Smith on November 2, 1928 and departed this life on February 27, 2017 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, Ga.  Mr. Smith was a native of Glennville, Ga. and resided in Fulton, N.Y. in the year 1956 and remained for 25 years before return to Glennville , Ga. in 1981.  Mr. Smith followed his long DREAM of one day owning his own Smitty's-Car Body Repair Shop in Fulton, N.Y. After returning to Glennville, Ga. He open Waldo's Body and Repair Shop. Painting and Restoring vehicles back to its original state was self-rewarding for Mr. Smith; he had Pride in his work and himself! Not only did Mr. Smith work on vehicles he worked in logging timber at the young age of 70! He also enjoyed in his spare time going Wild Bore Hunting and Fishing with family and Friends the late Stanley Anderson of Glennville, Ga., Don, Wendy and Brad Dasher and Mr. Smith was young at heart. Two of Mr. Smith's biggest sayings:  'Treat People As You Wish To Be Treated' and 'Always keep looking Up' Mr. Smith Loved and enjoyed attending Church regularly, singing in the choir an learning the word of the Lord!He was a former member of the St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church in Glennville, Ga., the 2nd Olive Baptist Church in Syracuse, N.Y.  and presently attended the Jones Creek Baptist Church in Ludowici, Ga. He enjoyed quoting you Scriptures from the Bible and speaking the word of the Lord! Mr. Smith leaves behind a brother Edon Cromtarie of Columbus, Ga.  Preceded him in death: three brothers Wade, Willie and Ledford and one sister Ruth Smith; one son preceded him in death the Late Waldo Windell Smith He leave to cherish his Memories his former wife Lois Smith of Fulton, N.y. and children: Vondell Smith of Independence, Mo. Granda Smith and Chet Reynolds of Fulton, N.Y., Melinda and Ashleighly Rufus of Bowling Green, Ky. and Melva Smith of Woodbridge, Va.  (10) Grand Children, (11) Great Grand Children and a Host of Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Extended Family: Don, Wendy and Brad Dasher. Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Center of Life - Church of God, 1202 Martin Luther King Dr. Glennville , Ga. 30427 Funeral: 11:00 am, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Center of Life - Church of God, 1202 M.L.King Drive, Glennville, Georgia 30427 Interment: St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Ludowici, Ga.
